New Retail Center Breaks Ground at Meridiana Entrance,
Expanding Services for Residents
MANVEL, TX (April 16, 2026) – The top-selling community of Meridiana will soon have a new neighborhood retail destination at its doorstep, offering a blend of dining, personal care and healthcare services, as construction begins on The Market at Meridiana.
Leasing activity is already strong, with the project at the southwest corner of Highway 6 and Meridiana Parkway approximately 50 percent pre-leased at groundbreaking.
The initial tenant mix reflects a focus on daily convenience and neighborhood needs, including Twisted Egg Shack, a drive-thru concept offering a variety of breakfast options, alongside La Dolce Nail Spa, Airway Dentists and Select Physical Therapy, an outpatient rehabilitation provider.
Matt Lawson, president of Meridiana, says the groundbreaking for the 28,000 square- foot center marks another milestone in the continued growth of one of the nation’s top-selling master-planned communities.
“As Meridiana continues to grow, it’s important that we bring convenient, high-quality retail and services closer to our residents, and The Market at Meridiana does exactly that,” he adds.
Construction is expected to be completed with tenant buildouts within a 12 to 15-month timeframe.
The Market at Meridiana is being developed by Houston-based Malabar Hill Capital, a firm specializing in the ground-up development of neighborhood shopping centers across Texas. With more than 50 years of combined experience, the firm is known for delivering high-quality retail projects.
