THE CANCINO FAMILY
We are the Cancinos! We moved to Meridiana in April of 2018 and immediately fell in love with our new community. Our neighbors were welcoming and if you needed to borrow a stick of butter, 10 people were ready to walk over with it! We definitely felt right at home here.
Our three kiddos, Faith, Logan and Hadley, love to fish in the lake. The trails provide scenic walks and beautiful bike rides. We enjoy our annual stay in the boathouse and the delicious food from Cafe Sol. Movies in the park have to be my favorite though!
My husband, Albert, and I enjoy planning fun events with our neighbors and you can often find us hosting people at our house. I love coming up with creative ways to get together to network in the conservatory. We are so happy to call Meridiana home!

THE BOYCE FAMILY
Hello Meridiana, we are the Boyce family! Originally from Brooklyn & Queens, NY, we moved to Texas in 2015 and began our search for the perfect community. We ultimately bought into the Meridiana Dream and became residents in December of 2016. The Welcome Center we remember wasn’t in the Oasis Village we know today, but in a trailer off a dirt road. Happily, that dream is now a reality and continues to grow beyond our expectations.
Our children Madison, Hannah and Owen love their community, especially the multiple playgrounds, pool and splash pad! My wife Kharla and I truly enjoy walks and bike rides to take in the beautiful scenery. There are various planned events & activities, but the Musical Lights at Christmas is my wife’s absolute favorite! The icing on the cake is our awesome Meridiana neighbors, who are friendly and always willing to help (although we slightly favor our Nobel Glen folks!)
We are truly happy to be a part of this community and look forward to all that Meridiana has in store!
THE HOLLIER FAMILY
We moved here in December 2016. My husband, Gabe, works at DOW in Freeport and I am a recent stay-at-home mom after teaching PK and special education for 10 years. We have 3 kids Lily (4), Leah (2) and Luke (born 9/9/19). We chose Meridiana because we wanted to settle down in a place where we could enjoy family activities, build lasting relationships for us and our kids, and be close to our family.
As a family we like to play and hang out in our backyard while BBQing and snuggle on the couch to watch Disney movies. When we are not at home, you can find us at Studio G dance studio in Manvel where Lily and Leah dance.
Gabe started the Recycle Club in the spring of 2019 because he noticed a great need for residents that wanted to recycle. Also, I have started a mom?s Facebook page called Moms of Meridiana. I noticed there was a need for moms in Meridiana to have a place where we could share parenting tips, brag/complain about our kids, schedule play dates and build a sense of community within the mom population here. We love being here in Meridiana and we are wonderful advocates for this beautiful community.
THE HOLMES FAMILY
Hi! We’re the Holmes family – Marc, Jennifer, Maxwell, Mckenna, and new baby Mila. We live in The Springs section of Meridiana. We’ve called Meridiana home for about a year and a half and absolutely love it. We moved back to Houston from Charlotte, NC after being away for about two years and are so happy to be home!
Our favorite thing to do here in Meridiana is to go eat at Cafe Sol! We love that they are always offering new items and the opportunity to eat outside in this beautiful weather we’ve been having! We also look forward to Food Truck Friday’s and the Farmers Markets. We definitely try to take advantage of all the cool stuff the neighborhood does!
When we’re not doing stuff around the neighborhood, you can bet we will be catching a soccer game on TV. We are avid English Premier League football fans and cheer for the Tottenham Hotspurs every weekend! We’d love to meet any other soccer fans in the neighborhood (unless your team is Arsenal.)

THE HAGOS FAMILY
Hi Meridiana, we are the Hagos family! We moved into our home on November 23, 2016, bringing a few friends with us.
Our love for Meridiana grew over time as we moved from Kingwood which is a pretty amazing community. With that, we had extremely high hopes and expectations, which Meridiana has provided. We had a few personal reasons that brought us here, one that we will never regret would be our commute to work. Both my husband and I work for the Department of Defense, so being able to get to work in under 45 minutes is life-changing.
We have 4 children, Shamar (19), Marcos (18), Isaiah (14), and Aden (9). We all enjoy partaking in different pastimes here, one of my favorites is riding my bike on the trails. My husband and daughter enjoy fishing and the boys spend many hours at the basketball court. Cafe Sol is also somewhere we all enjoy.
We’re excited to see what the future holds for Meridiana and its residents!
THE RICHESON FAMILY
We are the Richeson family from the Bay Area in California. We decided to move to Meridiana due to the great amenities the community has, as well as all the reputable home builders around.
We moved to Meridiana in the Nobel Glen section in November of 2018. We moved to Texas not knowing anyone. Everyone we have met throughout Meridiana has been very welcoming and friendly to us. We enjoy attending the different events that happen in our community.
My husband, Michael, has been working for Dow Chemical since 2002 and now works at the Dow Texas City Plant. I, Rochelle, am a stay at home mom. Andy is 8 years old and in third grade. Rachel is 5 years old and will start Kindergarten next school year.
We look forward to many years living here.
THE BARR?N FAMILY
We are the Barron’s and we moved from The Woodlands in January 2019. Gabriel, my husband, works for Freeport LNG as an electrical engineer. I, Clara, am a stay at home mother of three.
We found Meridiana by chance when Gabriel missed the turn to Saber Power Offices and entered the community. We visited Meridiana that weekend and decided it would be our new home.
We love spending time together with family and friends. I’m the organizer of a Meridiana moms group called Mommy & Me. If you have a toddler or preschooler, this group is for you. This wonderful group encourages other moms to get their little ones out once a month to join some fun. This is also a great opportunity to meet other Meridiana moms if you are new to the community.
Gabriel enjoys playing basketball every Saturday with the Meridiana basketball group and fishing in the lakes. The children enjoy all the amenities in the community. You can find us at a park most days after school.
Moving to Meridiana was the right choice for our family. We enjoy all the resident events and our friendly neighbors!
