Construction is underway on Meridiana’s second onsite elementary school as the top-selling community continues to attract young families seeking quality, new homes in a carefully planned setting dedicated to education for all life stages.
The all-new Bennett Elementary, part of Alvin ISD, will open for the fall 2024 semester at 9235 Inspiration Way just north of Meridiana Parkway amidst the community’s phase-two neighborhoods.
The two-story building will house students from pre-k to fifth grade.
The school’s first floor is planned to include spacious pre-k and kindergarten rooms, first-grade classrooms, a gym and art room. Its second floor will offer classrooms and collaborative spaces for second through fifth grade, science labs and gifted and talented classrooms.
When complete, Bennett Elementary will join Meridiana’s two other onsite schools, Meridiana Elementary, which opened in 2016, and Caffey Junior High, opened in 2021.
Meridiana families also attend Iowa Colony High School, which opened adjacent to the community in 2022. Meridiana remains the only Texas 288 community with all three levels of education within or adjacent to the community.
In addition to opening modern and convenient new schools, Alvin ISD was instrumental in collaborating with Meridiana’s development team to create outdoor community learning labs where residents of all ages can study the earth’s movement, the solar system, principles of gravity and velocity, wildlife habitats and more.
One of the nation’s 50 top-selling master-planned communities, Meridiana is conveniently located minutes south of Pearland. To reach the award-winning community, take the Meridiana Parkway exit from Texas 288, just minutes south of Pearland, heading north or south.
