Meridiana Donates Land to City of Manvel for Future Community Amenity
Meridiana, one of the nation’s top-selling communities, has donated 2.5 acres of land to the City of Manvel to support future civic and community-focused development.
Located off Highway 6 at Wilson Drive, the donated land provides the City of Manvel with long-term flexibility as it plans for future community needs. As the City looks ahead, it will seek input and feedback from residents to help guide how this property may best serve the community and enhance quality of life in Manvel.
City leaders welcomed the donation as an important contribution to Manvel’s continued growth.
“This generous land donation provides the city with valuable flexibility as we plan for Manvel’s future,” said Manvel Mayor Dan Davis. “As our community continues to grow, having strategically located property available for civic amenities will help us expand services and create spaces that serve families and residents of all ages.”
Mayor Davis added that public input will play an important role in determining the property’s future use. As planning progresses, residents will have opportunities to share their ideas and feedback through community meetings, City Council discussions and other public engagement efforts.
Matt Lawson, president of Rise Communities, developer of Meridiana, said the land donation reflects Meridiana’s ongoing commitment to helping shape a vibrant, connected community and to creating a lasting foundation for civic life in Manvel.
“Great communities are built not only with homes, but with meaningful gathering places and services that bring people together,” added Lawson. “By donating this land, Meridiana is investing in Manvel’s future and supporting the city’s vision for amenities that will enrich residents’ daily lives for generations to come.”
