Meridiana engages children through all stages of learning with education and discovery experiences presented in our onsite Meridiana Elementary and interactive Learning Labs positioned throughout the community. Jackie Doucet Caffey Junior High School, which just opened this year, and adjacent Iowa Colony High School brings Meridiana’s education focus full circle.
ALVIN INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT
HIGHLY ACCLAIMED
Alvin ISD is Brazoria County’s second largest district with two high schools, six middle schools and 14 elementary schools. Alvin schools have earned exemplary ratings from the Texas Education Agency. A new onsite stadium will enhance the already excellent athletic programs, and test scores in the district continue to trend up as the area grows.

THE CLASSROOM OUTSIDE
With the idea that education cannot be contained inside school walls, Meridiana is creating a series of Learning Labs throughout the community. In concert with Alvin schools and designed to supplement curricula at all grade levels with hands-on lessons in everything from solar dynamics to wildlife habitat, the labs provide a truly unique opportunity.
THE LIGHTS ARE ON At Freedom Field!
There’s nothing like football in Texas and Friday nights just got a lot more exciting with the addition of this 10,000-seat, state-of-the-art stadium. It’ll be the place to watch a game by the powerhouse that is Manvel High School, attend a banquet at the Alumni Center with a 500-person capacity, and see soccer and football under the lights. Freedom Field is a game changer for the high school football team and their fans.
