2022 proved to be another active year for Meridiana highlighted by the opening of a new high school, the debut of an expansive model home park and the start of construction for the highly anticipated Adventure Cove aquatics experience and a second onsite elementary.
Most recently, Meridiana opened its model home park featuring 21 showcase models, all fully furnished and expertly decorated. Situated on three secluded cul-de-sacs, each presents a top-selling plan for homesites from 40-100’ in width, including those in exclusive gated sections.
A new model also has opened in Serenity at Meridiana, the community’s active-adult, 55+ neighborhood featuring two- and three-bedroom plans.
In August, Iowa Colony High School opened its doors for the first time, joining the onsite Meridiana Elementary (opened in 2016) and the onsite Caffey Junior High School (opened in 2021), to provide residents with the convenience of new neighborhood schools delivering a top-tier education from kindergarten through high school.
2022 brought with it news of Meridiana’s second onsite elementary. The all-new Bennett Elementary, part of Alvin ISD, will open for the fall 2024 semester at 9235 Inspiration Way just north of Meridiana Parkway amidst the community’s phase-two neighborhoods.
Even if the little ones aren’t quite ready for the classroom, Meridiana has that covered with the onsite early childhood education facility, Future Explorers Academy, currently under construction with a projected opening in early 2023.
As for new amenities, 2022 signaled the start of construction at Meridiana’s second amenity Village, Adventure Cove, an aquatics experience never before seen in a master-planned community. Residents will enjoy a wave pool, tidal river, recreation pool, fitness center, central lawn, outdoor fitness space, large pavilion and food truck park. The resident-only setting is projected to open by summer 2023.
