Meridiana Scores Strong in Midyear RCLCO Rankings Top

Earlier this year, Meridiana had the honor of being recognized in the RCLCO Rankings Top 50 Master-Planned Community List. Well, the year is half over, and our community is still earning recognition, scoring strong on the RCLCO’s Top 50 midyear ranking.
For those unfamiliar with RCLCO, it is an organization that provides market research and consulting services to many within the real estate community. Each year, they release unbiased third-party assessments of national master-planned communities, providing full transparency to the public. The ranking is based on the total new home sales reported, an area where Meridiana has had a stellar year— and it keeps getting better
Meridiana Made Solid Improvements in a Big Market
This year, Texas has proven to be one of the most popular destinations for homebuyers. The state accounted for a whopping 34% of sales among all 50 of the ranked communities. Houston MSA, where Meridiana resides, took the top spot as the highest-performing metropolitan area, with 11 communities making the list. Houston communities contributed 3,666 home sales, representing 22% of all sales on the list.
With 277 home sales, Meridiana maintained a strong position on the list, contributing to 7% of home sales of all Houston MSA ranked communities.
Despite declining YoY sales across the housing industry, many of the top-ranked master planned communities continued to outperform the national average. According to the RCLCO Rankings report, today’s current homebuyer values master planned communities because they offer stability, amenities, and cohesiveness that resonate with today’s current homebuyer.
