Rise Communities LLC is a preeminent developer and manager of creative, masterfully-planned, large-scale communities. Founded in 2011 by experienced residential real estate development professionals, the team’s vision focused on bringing well-planned, resort-style communities to both established and emerging areas.
After considerable research, its partners identified two prime Houston-area development opportunities: one to the west of Houston, in Katy, where the firm would establish Cane Island and another to the south, minutes from the burgeoning town of Pearland, for the development of Meridiana.
Both projects marked significant milestones. Cane Island emerged as the first master-planned community within the City of Katy’s boundaries while Meridiana, with land for 5,500 new homes, opened as the largest master-planned community in northern Brazoria County.
The philosophy driving both developments was clear: while homebuyers can purchase similar homes elsewhere, Rise Communities aimed to distinguish the two communities through exceptional amenities and meticulous attention to detail. Moreover, unlike other developers, Rise built the amenity centers in both communities first, allowing residents to immediately see and enjoy the quality of their offerings.
The approach proved to be an overwhelming success.
Cane Island, which opened in 2016, quickly became one of Houston’s top-selling communities, achieving rapid new home sales and earning the coveted title of 2016 Community of the Year by the Greater Houston Builders Association. Just eight years later, Cane Island reached close-out status for new home sales.
Meridiana began building and selling in 2016 as a thoughtfully planned community centered around education for all life stages. Its resort-quality setting attracted numerous homebuyers, earning it the 2017 Community of the Year award by the Greater Houston Builders Association. Now consistently ranked as one of the nation’s top-50 selling communities, Meridiana boasts two onsite elementaries, an onsite junior high and an onsite early childhood education center.
Expanding beyond Texas, Rise Communities acquired 3,600 acres near Phoenix for the master-planned community of Copper Mountain. Currently in the planning stage, Copper Mountain promises to be a signature living experience, offering extraordinary views and beautiful, elevated natural landscaping and terrain.
